The Bridlington Merrymaker, Saturday 4th May 1974
A classic day out filling our note books with motive power galore! 47015 was unusual power for the St Pancras-Hull leg, 37104 working forward to Bridlington. We bailed at Hull to bunk “Botanic Gardens” with a 5 of the rare (to us) Eastern 20’s amongst the DMU’s here. A long, long walk to Albert Dock saw us view 08513 as pilot here.

the rare 47381 at Rotherham
unrenumbered “rat” 7613 on Leicester shed, She was renumbered to 25263 10 days later, one of the last 25’s to retain her old number so late into 1974.
