Luton , Friday January 7th 1977 (1030 – 1300)
A 2 hour plus session at a sunny Luton saw 20 locos viewed including my first Luton spotting “cop” since Jan 75 in the rare 25272 working down light. 6 other 25’s were seen too, more than normal. 46049 was interesting though not that rare, relegated to freight duties as usual. I took my trusty 126 camera too, 4 average photos that today have huge nostalgia. Obviously we were hoping for a “Western” on the stone, but alas 47247 produced! 1048 was to be the last Western to visit Luton 10 days later.
