A busy day at Bletchley, Mon Jan 4th 1982
A 5 hour session at Bletchley was to produce 59 different locos, a good number but being after the Christmas/New Year shutdown there was very little freight (no liners) with just one move over the flyover, with this unusually producing a single 37. The station pilot was busy moving vans from the parcels dock adjoining the down fast to the Field sidings adjoining the up slow. Timekeeping of the known trains was excellent. Cravens DMUs still dominated the Bedford branch turns and 25315 was a welcome sight on the Fletliner empties.
