Class 90s TC gets em in!

TC and the class 90 challenge, 1989-2011

My first 90’s had gone in the book on a Scottish bash in January 1989 as the move back south, 90015 for 90012 and it took me another 22 years bar 2 days to get the other 48 for haulage. I was in the “49 club” for nearly 8 years though. Having missed the early days I picked my 90’s up as they came to me, and unlike a fair few bashers I managed to score them in some unusual places. 90001 was a winner out of St. Pancras one night after a late shift at work, a fair few of the Railfreight examples were scored on the East coast when they were covering for class 91’s. A few were scored on tours and a few more were had when Freightliner were assisting Anglia back in 2003.

My last one was the rare one, 90047 which managed to avoid the Anglia workings and only went in the book when Virgin hired one for a Euston – Birmingham diagram in 2011.
