27001 at the impressive Brechin terminus with the 0900 ex Bridge of Dun on 080826
A hugely enjoyable 2 and a half days enjoying much thrash between Bridge of Dun and Brechin. The BG made the consist up to five adding to the thrash potential. 26014, 27001 and 27024 all delivered in fine style, to quote my colleague “they always sound louder in Scotland”. The best run was 27001 on the 1700 Bridge of Dun – Brechin, load 5 and 2 idling Type 2’s on the back, roughly load 9, much thrash!
A big thanks to all the volunteers who made it happen and from what i saw every passenger of the good numbers who attended seemed very happy with their visit..Put August 2027 in your diary!
