Just North of Old Linslade reached by a 30 minute towpath walk, Chelmscote canalside is a nice spot if you have morning sun. Vegetation growth is worsening each Summer but coupled with the wildlife the canal draws its always a pleasure to be there….

With the canal still iced up 60076 passes Chelmscote with 6L44 Oxwellmains – West Thurrock cements on December 19th 2017. Diversion of this service on Tuesday and Thurs mornings is expected to continue until the Barking-Gospel oak electrification blockade is lifted in the third week of January 2018

Still in Freightliner grey 90043 is ignored by the local sheep heading South with 1M16 on September 3rd 2015, at this times Freightliner 90s were regular hire ins on the sleepers
end.
