Class 55’s in Scotland
Obviously all the production Deltics worked class 1 passenger services North of the Border. They worked most day and night principal express services between Edinburgh and London from the early years till 1977, they were also regular visitors to the Edinburgh – Dundee – Aberdeen route. Other Scottish outposts were also visited in the BR careers that finally ended in Jan 82.
Some of these BR days unusual Scottish visits are listed below along with more regular turns.
