Notes:
This railtour utilised Bedford traincrew due to their traction knowledge of class 58’s and route knowledge over the Southern, along with route conductors over the sections further into Kent. Phil was rest day and had booked a ticket to travel on the railtour. In the week up to the tour he was offered the job of working the tour out of St. Pancras. After some negotiations, the plan was changed with Phil travelling on the railtour, and then driving the “58” back north as far as Bedford.
