The morning dawned bright, clear and calm – perfect conditions for the Chelmscote canalside location between 7am-8am. There was a little mist on the water first thing but cloud did eventually build. The canal waters remained still apart from disturbances by leaping fish and the odd duck.

0730 – About 15 down 92038 roaring nicely passes with 1M16 up Highlander
0734 -The sun has become milky now, 90004 and 90007 head North with 4M45 Felixstowe – Ditton.
0736 – 66507 looking good with 4L50 Basford Hall – Gateway
0757 – With a fish rippling the reflection of lead 90041 with 90049 behind heading South with 4L89 Garston – Felixstowe
