Whilst class 33 “Cromptons” worked the vast majority of “Kenny Belle” turns, class 08, 09 and 47 also produced. Occasional alternatives to the “Cromptons” were class 73 ED’s of which sample turns are listed below. The stock was virtually solid 4TC (the TC unit numbers are included where known) although 73142 on August 6th 82 was on 2 Mk I’s.
Service levels until May 83 were 2 trains in the morning peak Clapham Jn – Kensington O returning ECS, plus 2 trains from Kensington O – Clapham Jn in the evening peak again returning ECS. From Oct 82 DMUs were booked or the morning service with a more intensive 2 way evening peak service with 4TC and nominally a 33’1.
