A horrible cold and grey day locally was enlivened by 3 green Skodas working in the alleged daylight hours. As we only have 4 different pairs of Skodas each day, to have 3 of the fast disappearing green liveried ones was quite something!
In serious gloom around 8am 90005 and 90042 pass Old Linslade with 4L89 0409 Crewe – Felixstowe on December 10th 2024
90049 and 90007 approach Leighton Station around 1330 with the light still rubbish on 4M63 0912 Felixstowe – Ditton on December 10th 2024
90016 and 90045 approach Leighton station with 4M88 0932 Felixstowe – Ditton on December 10th 2024 in rapidly fading light around 1500!
With a fleet of 25 90’s the odds of a pair of green liveried ones producing are low but back on September 11th 2024, the duo of 90043 and 90049 worked 4M45 Ipswich – Ditton seen here passing much veg at Linslade allotments
Good few years since green Skodas worked the sleepers, over 2 hours down due 67007 failing at Dunkeld some hours earlier, heres 90043 approaching Ledburn with 1M16 on February 27th 2016
Even longer since green Skodas worked Virgin services, heres 90049 rounding the curve ay Old Linslade with 1G21 on July 15th 2014.
