Below is a list of selected Crompton workings through Leighton, Bletchley Flyover turns are listed elsewhere on the site.

The 33’s are very rare through Leighton on freight with only one known working (33209 on July 12th 1988), they have appeared on unit drags to Wolverton, many light engine turns, Maidstone and Brighton footexes and a good few Railtours though depressingly  few in recent years.

Several 33’s have worked locally more than once 33202 once being very common but only one working per different loco has been included. 26 different Cromptons feature.

33103 455 unit drag to Wolverton Works 201282.

33103 and 33202 storm through Leighton somewhat late with a Birmingham – Keighley (via London) adex on May 20th 2006. The pair were to fail near Newark, 56301 assisting!

In failing light, the late Tony Ewer catches 33116 and 33109 at Dudswell with the Srirl of the Bagpipes tour from Victoria to Inverness on March 31st 1995, the duo working throughout!

Taken from a passing train, 33209 on a Bescot – Willesden speedlink is a very unusual sight near Bushey on July 12th 1988. 33209 had arrived in Brum on a table 51 service earlier.
