Local drags, Sunday September 22nd 1991
These local drags recently got mentioned in an email from Mike Lewis. He advised that returning South on 1M11 he was treated to 31403 on load 16 plus a dead 90025 Bletchley-Euston. That must have been loud and slow climbing to the local summit in Tring Cutting. Mike advises that the 31 left Bletchley at 0634 and arrived Euston 0816, unfortunately he was dossed so cannot confirm if the overnight was checked en route. Was anybody else aboard to confirm?
It appears this was an up drag only with the 7 (yes 7) Saturday night overnight services getting dragged along with the first 2 up Inter Citys. Any further gen/phots from this interesting morning would be very welcome and complete the picture further.
