After some frosty nights the snow fell overnight early on Monday Dec 12th giving a covering of 1-2 inches locally. Unusually the snow didnt melt all week and with severe overnight frosts adding to the snow cover on the ground and on trees.
Unfortunately the snow coincided with RMT strike action and on the non strike Thursday Dec 15th a major signalling shambles severely disrupted services all day..

Possibly due an issue with ice in Linslade tunnel only the down fast (and up slow) was in operation alllowing at Old Linslade a rare fast line freght view of 66758 powering North with 4Z08 1129 Felixstowe – Birch Coppice on December 16th 2022
