A very quick trip to Devon and Cornwall using the down Midnight from Padd. A quick visit to the Looe branch, St Austell and then Plymouth for the footie. A 165 to Exeter (better than a cucumber!). My Sunday “Mule” move back to London was thwarted by capeage so a rancid cucumber Exeter – Padd!

On hire “quite large” I’m told 57312 was unfortunately on the emcars end of the down Midnight on October 17th 2025

At the business end of the 2350 Padd – Penzance was 57603 and 8 Mk III’s in tow, the Mk III sleeper experience was superb, much better than the CAF rubbish used on the Scottish sleepers. Taken on October 17th 2025

The sleepers have an ability to transfer you from a very different world from London. Here we see the signalman in Liskeard box doing his thing on October 18th 2025

The odd Looe platform at Liskeard lies at 90 degrees to the main line platforms, 150216 awaits departure time with the 0655 to Looe on October 18th 2025
