This classic farewell tour organised by the LCGB and SEG started at Clapham Jn with Hastings sets 1002 and 1032 running via Greenford and Risboro to Aylesbury. I was here to phot the tour which in an action packed half hour saw the sets proceed to Aylesbury North where they were split.
1032 left first for Amersham, Watford Met, Neasden depot and Stanmore on the Piccadilly Line. 1002 followed on the same route 15 minutes later.
The final leg of the now combined tour with 1002 and 1032 featuring in a spectaculary fast Hastings – Charing X , a fitting farewell for the class.
