WCML Class 86’2 in 2003

After 21 class 86’2’s were stood down in 2002 with the cessation of electric hauled cross country hauled services just 9 86’2’s remained in WCML service in 2003.

The 9 locos were

86205, 86212, 86228, 86229, 86233, 86245, 86247, 86259 and 86260. All were in Virgin livery except Inter City liveried 86228 and original electric blue 86233.
