Courtesy of GK’s fast car we arrived at Leeming Bar (near Northallerton) with plenty time to join the 5 coach rake forming the 0930 departure to Leyburn passing some 11 miles of pleasant Dales scenery.
Power for the 0930 and 1330 services was teddy 9523, with 33035 working the 1130 and 1530 departures. The thrash was excellent with plenty punters happy.
The shed at Leeming Bar contained a popular model railway exhibition and 37250 and fairly recently arrived 9513 (required for sight!) under maintenance.
