27055 at a very chilly Lairg on January 27th 1985. the “tiptops” boiler had packed up at Dingwall on the 0805 ex Inverness “papers” to Lairg. On the memorable return trip with ice thick on the inside of the compo windows 1 basher resorted to laying out flat with towels over his feet and head for 2 hours! another opted to do his moves book, made an error but his tippex had frozen! Happy days on the Far North!
