With overnight trains ridiculously expensive and long haul trips on a busy Pendo or Azuma an appalling prospect it was Easy Jet North, good value too. A shocking £7.50 single for the tram for the Edinburgh Airport to Edinburgh Gateway (3 miles). A good run took in Perth and Broughty Ferry, good for a chip supper, then the tram North to Stonehaven.

Good to rake in 43003 the former 254002 (as TC did a few days earlier), raked in the recently reopened Leven branch where 313121 was a suprise at the preservation centre there, A smile on seeing former roarer top man Dave Jackson joined at Kinghorn, then good old Easy Jet South, on leaving the plane at LTN the bus was made in 7 minutes!
