A probable first for Leighton in that a tram actually made a booked stop at Leighton to pick up passengers for the over priced LSL Midland Pullman tour from Watford Jn to Edinburgh. The tour also stopped at Hemel, the Keynes, Northampton, Long Buckby, Rugby and Nuneaton.
The outward tour arrived right time with 43046 and 43055 at Leighton at 0646 returning at 2150. Around 30 passegers joined at Leighton
It is likely that during farces (been enough of them recently!) back in Virgin times when HSTs operated some Euston – Holyhead/Manchesters some stopped at Leighton awaiting instructions due some farce or whatever.
Midland Pullman liveried HST/tram arriving, standing and departing Leighton with LSL’s Watford – Edinburgh adex on December 8th 2022. We think this is he first HST to make a booked stop at top shack Leighton Buzzard.
