A sad sight at Linslade allotments as 37884 drags 319457/319433 from Northampton to Sims Metals Newport for scrap, taken on January 24th 2024. After a long period out of use in Camden CS 319433 and 319457 made the final powered 319 run locally working 3N19 Camden – Northampton on December 19th 2023……..
Thick fog swirls atmospherically around Ledburn as 37800 drags 319217 and 319219 from Northampton to Newport Sims for scrapping on December 6th 2023
After their introduction locally in 2015 a few of us have grown to like the 319’s. Well its game over after this working, 319433 and 319457 at Bletchley with the 0656 Euston service on November 27th 2023
And heres the final working at Leighton on November 27th 2023, the evening’s former 319 workings which should have been 730’s were caped, good eh!
First rare turn of the new timetable on Saturday May 27th 2023 sees 319220 n 319433 arriving at Leighton with 2Z12 1304 Rugby – Euston additional. This was to cater for footy fans Wembley bound. First 319s off Rugby since Connex days, also an unusual Leighton – Harrow RA fast run.

Last working on November 21st 2023, 319219 and 319214 at Bletchley with the 0643 Bletchley – Tring emcars, they then worked 2T02 0710 Tring – Euston, then emcars to Camden and panned down, unlikely to work a service train again…..

It appears 319220 was stood down first thing on October 31st despite being in fine form on the evening peak on Monday October 30th doing Chedd-Leighton in 4m 35s.

Absent friends – June 28th 2023
June 25th saw 319012 and 319429 withdrawn, stripped at Northampton and dispatched by road for cutting at Sims. 319012/429 were in service on June 23rd! This bring the fleet down to 319214/319215/319217/319220/319433/319457 of which 4 are now expected to remain in service until late November 2023, catch em whilst you can…
